Alcohol and Drug Services provide counseling and support to adults with alcohol and/or drug related problems and to their family members, in order to facilitate an improved quality of life. Assessments: Alcohol and Drug Services provide assessments to help people determine how their alcohol and/or other drug use (or someone else's use) may be causing them problems, and what they can do about it. Counseling: Counseling services are provided at no cost, for: - Adults seeking help for their own alcohol and or other drug related problems;
- Adults who are affected by a family member's substance use;
- Concerned individuals wanting to help the substance abuser.
Referrals: Referrals are accepted from: - Self-referral
- Family member
- Physicians or other health professionals
- Courts
- Social workers
- Employers
When suitable, we provide referrals for individuals to any of the following: - Detox Centres
- In-patient Treatment Centres
- Community self help groups
- Other community resources
